Pasa De Nah is what my favorite KROQ DJ Jed the Fish called Pasadena when he was on the air. I had another favorite radio station in Pasadena, KPPC FM. Pasadena was also the spiritual headquarters for the Unification Church. It seems that my time in Southern California was greatly influenced by Pasadena.
I am proud to get one panel of artwork up. I am going to get all of the original artwork up for this story before I start adding to the story. I will start revising the artwork and coloring it at some later date. I am typing the text and placing it over the original hand written text so that it can be easy to read. I am keeping the original hand written text in the PhotoShop files.
This is where I will publish my comic The Legend of Samantha. This project is a long time in the making and I have overcome a lot of my own barriers and excuses for not doing it to get this far. Living in a trailer for over a year did not help my creativity but I think that having a nice big office is giving me the urge to start to work on my comic again.
I took a very long hiatus from creating any serious art for about 20 years. When I moved to Austin, Texas I found that I had the urge and confidence to start drawing with color pencils again. My most recent work is on my launiart.com site. What really kick started this online comic is finding an easy way to get it online using Word Press. As a full time IT professional and web developer I always get bogged down in technology when it comes to getting my own art online. I struggled for years trying to figure out how to get the comic strip on the Internet. finally I discovered the Comic theme that works with Word Press. Now granted this site is not fancy with a bunch of flash animation, but it is easy to get a daily comic strip on line.
I have decided to go simple for the web site and focus my attention on the fun part of my comic and that is what it is all about for me. Having fun with the comic art.
